What is missing in my art work?

Although I know I am improving time by time, I still found that my art work is not good enough to favourite the others (Yes, art should not be bothered by others too much, but I still sometimes do care about others feeling). Seems, my artwork cannot give a deep impression to others or without any characteristic. Can you tell me what is missing in my artwork?

Aww you haven't been on in a while. Anyways I just stumbled upon your lovely gallery and I gotta say wow! It's so inspiring. I recently got into painting with traditional media and seeing your stuff has me all excited to attempt painting in photoshop again =)
